EDF Pulled Out Fixed Rate Energy DealThe well received fixed rate energy deal from the EDF has been pulled out from the market. This is the EDF Energy Blue + Price Promise April 2014 and starting today, customers will not have this option anymore. The pull out of the product deal followed the shocking increase in prices last week and this is going to affect about 8.4 million customers of the EDF. Customers would expect to pay an additional £119 to the usual standard dual fuel bill which will increase the average bill to £1,354. This will be the mark of an increase in prices from other energy suppliers as well. According to Scott Byrom from MoneySupermarket.com, “As a result of the increase by SSE, I expect a domino effect in the market as the other members of the Big Six providers follow suit to hike prices.”
